Designed by Dave Thomas in 1990, this course features wide fairways, and several holes with elevated surrounds, making it suitable for the holding of major competitions. Its design shows two distinctive sectors: one, of the "woodland" type, and the other, with water having the leading role; both, amidst thick vegetation, with old cork trees and a fair amount of streams and waterfalls that enhance the beauty of the place.It is a spacious and stimulating golf course thought out for players of any level.The Club House is attached to a hotel built from a fully restored Andalucian mansion.

VALDERRAMA GOLF CLUB

Although Valderrama is a private club, nine starting times for visitors are available daily between 12.00 and 2.00pm with green fees costing around £125 per round!!. However it is a wonderful course, worthy of a pilgrimage by any serious golfer.

Opened in 1964 and considered to be amongst the best ten golf courses in the world, Sotogrande is yet another masterpiece designed by Robert Trent Jones. Known as "Old Sotogrande" so as to differentiate it from its younger neighbour, Valderrama, it is situated on the other side of the road. It's a private club open to visitors but reservations must be made well in advance. With more than 30 years of history, Sotogrande has mature and beautiful trees, including cork oaks and palms, all of which serve as added obstacles. Other than making it seem larger than its 6,820 yards, the water hazards play an important part on this course

A 9 hole par 35 course of 2599m. Surely unique amongst municipal courses, this course was designed by Robert Trent Jones. Situated high above the town there are superb views to the Rio Guadiaro, the Mediterranean and Valderrama Golf. Some challenging holes - most especially the 9th which is played over a dramatic gully.

A magnificent 18-hole golf course designed by Cabell Robinson with magnificent walks and views, it's opening is scheduled for spring of 2003. In addition it is planned to create a "Signature Course" with 18 holes.
